Guitars made by the American company PRS can be recognized at first sight. This brand guarantees high player’s comfort and quality craftsmanship for all the musicians worldwide. The quality of these instruments is apparent through thanks to the list of satisfied users such as Santana or Mark Tremonti.
The first instrument was made in 1975 as a school project, and between 1976 and 1985 Paul Reed Smith (PRS) with his employees were able to produce roughly one instrument per month. Then they started to offer their guitars to roadies of various bands and artists. The first customers of this era were for example Peter Frampton, Ted Nugent, Al Di Meola and finally Carlos Santana.
In 1985, the company opened their first factory and PRS slowly started to become a part of the guitar history. Since the beginning PRS guitars have differed from the competition mainly by using high quality wood and hardware, which the company usually made themselves, and of course, refined appearance. As Paul Reed Smith says: “We had to be different. Why would anyone buy our instruments if they did not play, sound and look better than the others?"
This philosophy still holds firm and applies both to the American models and the Korean SE series, which offers traditional designed guitars in more affordable options. In addition to the iconic double-cut guitars (Custom or SE 22 and 24) there are also models based on the shape of the Les Paul, signature models, hi-end guitars, semi-hollow guitars, bass guitars, acoustic guitars and amplifiers.
All the players who know what they want and who demand a quality instrument for universal use that will last the lifetime without needing any special service, can choose from the portfolio of the company.
