PRS KESTREL BASS: A MODERN JAZZ BASS
Although PRS Kestrel bass is based on the classic Jazz Bass, it features a more modern approach and a novel design. The rich sound and long sustain are due to the neck-through construction where the neck forms the centre of the instrument’s alder body. The neck itself is constructed out of maple and walnut. Two pairs of single-coil pickups ensure a solid sound which can be adjusted with one tone and two volume controls. The Hipshot TransTone bridge allows for strings to be attached to the bridge or pass through the body.
